URBAN ARTISTIC LOVE

FAQ

FAQ

How would you describe your style?
I have so many inspirations that come from so many different places and I try to implement all of them in my images. I love the raw emotion of photojournalism and the seductive, mysterious look of fashion photography. I love to find fantastically dreamy lighting, as well as incredible and colorful backgrounds. I never interrupt moments. I do not pose situations that are already so wonderful on their own. I am an observer most of the time with limited intrusion only when it is desired to achieve a particualar artistic vision. Many of my images are completely natural and un-posed.

We Love Your Style, but We Would Love to Have Some Traditional Portraiture. Is This Something That you Do?
I mix in traditional portraiture at most weddings. Even the most modern brides still want the heirlooms that family portraiture creates. Additionally I keep my wedding portait sessions very loose, fun, to show off your personality.

Do You Shoot With Film or Digital?
I only shoot with digital equipment. The creative latitude that digital gives is beyond compare. When I shoot, I not only shoot for the moment, but I have a clear vision of what the finished image will look like. By shooting digitally, the possibilities are limitless! And yes, the quality of digital is as good as film - usually better.

What is your editing process?
First, I look through all of the images and select the best 500 or so images. Once I gather this set, I open each image: inspecting it for correct color, tonal range, and composition. Slight adjustments are sometimes made to better the image. Occassionally, if I think an image would look awesome with an artistic treatment, I will add that to the image.
